NOTE: Yes.. Alythe's wedding is a while off.. but I think she's a bit worried about her upcoming status as the only married resinkid here at the Den, so when she asked to message Eden, of course I said yes.
Greetings Mistress Eden, I hope you can forgive me messaging you without a proper introduction, but I have a quandary and didn't know who to turn to.
Mama is busy with all the other resinkids now that Dru has gone away, and there is no other married woman that I know to help me with my dilemna.
As you might be aware, recently the man I love asked me to become his wife, and I accepted his proposal with much joy, but now .... well, I have some concerns about this change in my circumstances, and my role in his life *fiddles with engagement ring*
Once we are married, I will take over some of the management of the Den from Mama, as she needs a break, and its a married woman's job, Dru said so. I had hoped, being as how you are a happily married woman running an eclectic household of residents, and keeping it all smooth and harmonious, perhaps you would be kind enough to impart some of your wisdom to a newcomer like me???
Did you become a different person when you got married?? how does one make the transition from girlfriend to wife?? is there a manual I could read?? What changes will I have to make to the way I live? MIstress Eden, I am so very confused by how people treat me now.. they seem to think my wedding day will turn me into a totally different person, is that true??
Mistress Eden, I guess my chosen career hasn't really prepared me for day to day living with a man. I know how to satisfy certain needs, and how to make men leave my arms with a smile, but how do I make my husband want to come home to me at the end of the day?? How do I cope with nights when he works late at the office, or has to go on business trips?? Will he have an affair just because I am his wife, and no longer his lover? What changes will he want in the bedroom, I don't understand the difference between wives and lovers at all....
Mama mentioned cooking?? Will I HAVE to do that?? my talents lay in .... other rooms of the house.. does a man REALLY expect to come home to cocktails and a gourmet meal every night like the Mama's man??? I looked in her kitchen yesterday and I don' t know WHAT to do with all those pots and things in the cupboard... to be honest, some of them scared me. Do you do much cooking Mistress Eden???
Oh, and BABIES.. is it true that I will become pregnant after our first kiss as man and wife??? Dru said that when married people kiss, babies happen. how will I know when I am having a baby.. what if my husband says he doesn't want babies??
I don't know if I want any.. should I tell Zefrem now, in case it means he won't marry me?? Mistress Eden, your little boy is so well behaved and so very cute, why did you decide to have a son, and do you think that one is enough??
Housework.. I will be honest, I don't understand why it has to be done ALL the time.... and what if I break a nail??? surely thats more important than having the lightbulbs dusted??? Mistress Eden, I dont' want to sound lazy, but surely one of the other residents could be a maid to earn their keep???
Well, I certainly seem to have a lot of questions about married life.. I hope you don't mind helping me out with some of them, Mistress Eden. The manor seems like such a well run and harmonious household, I am sure you will be able to help me get the Den under control.
