Cora: V will be here on the night of the 30th and I believe he has to leave back to the city on the night of the 3rd. It's only a weekend, very short, I am sad about it, but really I am more happy to get to be near and see him at all.

Cora: I'm glad you approve of my idea of a private dinner... and I heartily agree that Locke should not know about it. I haven't seen him at all lately... it's true I have been avoiding him but now I think he is avoiding everyone for some reason.
