Tai: Hi Cora, I hope you don't mind me messaging from my bedroom. It's rather simple still, but I did finally get a futon large enough for Naoki and I to share.
Tai: That's all we do, is share the futon. Naoki seems to like being close...and I don't mind. I know some people think I've taken advantage of him, but they are wrong. Until I'm sure he understands what sort of guy I am, I only love him with my heart and my mind.
Tai: Anyway, Cora...regarding those nosebleeds. I hope you aren't offended when I ask this, but by any chance are they occurring after you've just talked to or, more likely, seen sexy pictures of some man you are attracted to?
Tai: If so then I can tell you exactly why they are happening, although I admit I always thought it was some sort of Japanese genetic thing. I had no idea it could happen to someone who isn't asian. There is no easy way to say it, Princess, but nosebleeds like that are a sign of repressed horniness. The only way you are going to cure those things is get the man who is causing them and hump him until you can't see straight. Trust me on that.
Tai: Sigh...Cora, how is it that you can see so clearly how Eden is being overprotective of you, and not realize that Lachlan does the exact same thing to me? Except for the alcoholism those two are actually a lot alike: they'll do whatever it takes to protect someone they care about. I bet Eden thinks of you as being the little sister she never had in reality. Eden is a lot more like Lachlan than Naoki...*laughs* I think Naoki is more like Witten - inclined to bite first and beg forgiveness later.
(with a heavy sigh, Tai falls back onto the futon cushion)
Tai: I'm not certain what you've heard, but yes, things have been happening with Naoki. I should be happy, because someone from his past has shown up to tell us about it...
Tai: (very serious) Cora, have you ever been afraid of what might happen if you remember your past? I mean...what if you turn out to have been someone totally different from who you are now? Which would you choose? Would it change how you feel about those you love now?
Tai: I'm sorry...forget I asked that...they aren't fair questions. It's just...from what this fox thing, Prospero, tells us...Naoki was some sort of nobleman and a warrior. He was a Queen's advisor and her guardian.
Tai: What am I next to that...just some stupid gay kid who loves him.
Tai: (his voice breaking as he obviously tries not to cry)Naoki's not going to just regain a memory...he'll regain a life...a purpose. He'll be someone totally different and there is no way I can have a place in that.
(behind Tai, Naoki stirs and rises, blinking away sleep)
Naoki: Tai? Crying?
(Wiping away the traces of tears, Tai sits up at once)
Tai: No, Naoki, I'm not crying. I'm just sending Cora a message, sorry if that woke you. Go back to sleep and I'll be there in a moment.
Tai: Sorry Cora, I shouldn't have unloaded that on you, you have enough issues to take care of *whispers* you did find that hit list of Camilla's didn't you? *normal voice* Remember what I told you about those nosebleeds, ok? I'm sure it will be easy enough to take care of and hell, if you like this guy enough to bleed over him then I'm pretty sure you will enjoy the cure a lot. I know you want to save that sort of sex for someone you love, but Princess once in a while there is someone you just want to share with physically and that's not a crime. The secret is quality, not quantity. And thanks on the compliment with the dress - I don't think I'll ever be up to Xerxes quality though - Lachlan would kill me! *laughs* Take care, Princess.
