Tai: So, long-time no talk to Luis my friend. Dereliction fully on my part, I'm afraid. My sister's extremely pretty boyfriend has finally come back so I was a bit distracted. He's so deliciously flirtable.
Tai: Sigh...ah well to the more salient point, however, I have to say I told you so. I confess I didn't anticipate at all the sort of trouble and havok she caused, but I did warn you that the Pink Princess would be in trouble after the past weekend. And I believe I also warned you that she wasn't just getting fat from too many snacks.
And don't look so damned shocked - 19 is not too young, physically at least, to have a baby. My own mother was only 19 when my excremental father knocked her up so I know these things.
Tai: Luis, friend, I suppose there isn't a prayer in the world that you are the baker who made that little bun she's carrying?
No, unlike Daddy-Dearest you're one of those gentlemanly brits who admires his Princess from afar - while some other smarmball, or six, sneaks up and steals her virtue.
Tai: Maybe that's why you're having so much trouble writing your story - it's hitting too close to home. Only the way things are going now, Luis, you haven't really settled yourself into your proper role yet. Either you are going to be a real contender for the Pink Princess - in which case you may want to consider stiffening up that backbone of yours - or you're going to have to be the ever faithful retainer who is always there to serve his lady no matter what she does. To be honest I think she will need you that way more than any other. And hey, sometimes the faithful retainer wins the girl in the end.
Tai: Shakespeare said it, Luis: "Life's a stage" or in your case a novel. Isn't it time you picked up the pen and started controling your own plot?
Tai: And not that I want to worry you any more than you already are - but contemplate this Luis: If you aren't the father - who is? The list of candidates is long and, except for a few, damned scary. Because unless you or her Crimson Knight or the husband of her landlady did the dead, then that baby was fathered by something not at all human. And that will be very, very bad.
