((Tai, of course, is utterly oblivious to the fact that some of what he is saying to Cora is, in fact, going on at this moment.))
Tai: Hiya Princess! I'm messaging you from my room because it's probably the quietest place in the house right now. Naoki is in the living room getting speech lessons from some of the Jenny girls...they're nice helpers so long as you keep an eye on them ...they keep "letting their hands do the walking" where they don't belong on Naoki's anatomy.
Tai: Oh, Lachlan wants me to tell you that she hasn't forgotten you, but her Mother got her a little job out of town doing some acting. She should be back by next week and she promises to message you then when she returns. The job came up suddenly so she didn't have a chance to let you know before she left.
Tai: Princess...I wish I was there because I'd give you a little smack for being silly! YOU do not screw things up with people just because you care about them or get into a relationship. I mean, look at what happened with Lachlan - ok? You didn't screw that up - she did! And why did she screw it up? Because she cares about you and was worried that maybe you were only seeing one side of things. She wanted to help you see another side of the picture and by mistake ended up hitting a raw nerve in you (well, I hit it, but I only got involved because Lachlan asked). If all you ever do is make mistakes because you care too much then you are a much better person than one who deliberately hurts other people, or hurts them because they aren't able to understand that other people have feelings.
Tai: Bhudo is hurt? Oh man, that's really not good. And no one telling you anything? Well that just sounds like typical over-protective stupidity to me. I'm always amazed at how people think: Oh, I won't tell so-and-so what is wrong, because I don't want them to worry - when all they really do is make the person worry like 100 times more than they would have if they'd known!!! It wouldn't surprise me if Bhudo did something stupid, like make them promise not to tell. It sounds like something he'd do.
Tai: As for what can you do? sigh...well, if you were closer geographically, Princess, I'd tell you to get in a car or on a bus or a train and get your ass over to him. First off they couldn't hide what's going on from you if you were there. Secondly I don't think you are going to be able to resolve your feelings for him as long as all you do is talk over a phone. You are trying to make an intimate decision using a very impersonal form of communication.
Tai: I think giving yourself a little breather, by letting Eden have your phone for a bit isn't weakness. You've had a lot to deal with lately, and sometimes a little removal from a situation can help a little. I mean, if all you think about when you can't call him is that you wish you could call him then I'd say you are pretty far down the road of Love. Just don't let it go on too long -especially if Bhudo is hurt. Hearing you may be good for him in that situation.
Tai: As for Dru...Listen to what you told me Princess, it's your answer and a pretty clear one at that. Dru is your friend - nothing more. You value him, and he is helping you, but the romance and the deeper intimacy just isn't there. He got a small piece of heart from you, Princess - but at least he got something.
Tai: Ok, now I want to smack you again - not hard, just a little one to wake you up. Dru sounds like a really wonderful person, but honestly, Princess, there is no rulebook out there that says just because someone fits into the classification of "perfect man" you have to fall in love with him! You can't fall in love because it just isn't right! End of story, nothing to worry about, nothing to see. It doesn't make you abnormal or wrong - it just means he isn't the one for you.
Tai: You know, I read this interesting theory once, that all people have a sort of resonance that is sort of generated from within them. When two people meet their resonances either clash or meld with each other to different degrees. When they clash violently, it's when you take an instant dislike to a person or mistrust them on first sight. However, when your resonance and someone else's compliment each other then you get along, and become friends. The more your resonance matches thiers, the better that friendship can be. Love though...love happens when your resonance and the resonance of someone else match perfectly and entertwine like the instruments in a fine piece of music.
Tai: So you and V, you resonated togther at first sight - he just hasn't figured it out yet. With you and Bhudo...I think maybe your resonance and his started out as complimenting each other, but over the years they have gotten more and more alike. It's a growing love, not a "brick" love *laughs*. I envy you that, because I think growing loves can be the strongest of all...and I've simply been "bricked" twice *laughs again*.
Tai: Don't apologize, Princess, you aren't whining. It's funny, but when I say things like this to you it actually helps me understand my own situation right back, so its all good. I'll say hi to Naoki for you, but I'm not sure if he'll message you or if you'll understand what he says when he does...but he does try. *laughs* between you and me, who cares if Niko can talk clearly...I bet he's got a butt made for sex too! *laughs* Talk to ya later Princess!
