Sherris: Hello Ms. Cora. Ah hope y'all don't
mind mah writting you out of the blue like this, but Ah just moved here
and don't really have anyone to talk to. Mah landlady said that y'all
might be just the person to make me feel less lonely. Ah did some
lookin' around and sure enough, sugarplum, ah do believe we could be
friends if y'all are willing.
Sherris: Ah don't normally dress all formal like this, but it seems mah luggage has gone on a bit of a journey without me. All Ah have is what was in mah carryon and since Ah was fixin' to go to work right away Ah didn't bring nothin' casual.
Sherris: See, Ah work work as a Burlesque Dancer. Now that ain't the same as a stripper no matter what no one says. Ah don't take off all mah clothes or let men throw no money at me. Ah'm part of a troupe and we perform burlesque the way it was back when it began, with comedy and theatre and tease dances. Mah specialty is a fan dance and doin' some singin' and dancin'.
Sherris: Do you ever dance, sugarplum? Cause you surely do have a beautiful body and would make an awesome burlesque girl. You'd be just like a big ol' cotton candy treat up on a stage! Oh, but Ah forget, y'all has two men and I'm sure they would be powerfully jealous if y'all was up there dancin' like we do. Though we don't always perform for men - there's always lots of women in the audience too - sometimes all women!
