Dear Mistress Eden, I hope you don't mind me sending you a message, but I am not sure who else to write to. Alythe and Mama both say that you are the most sensible one in the Manor, so I guess it makes sense that you get this.

I am sure that you are aware that Dru, who lives here and helps Mama run the den, is quite good friends with Miss Cora, of the Manor. They have been corresponding for many years now, and I know he is very fond of her.. he had hopes.. but anyhow.

We are very worried about him. Two weeks ago, Dru rang from the airport and said he had to go away for business. He hasn't come home yet, and no one's heard from him in all that time.

Mama says she isn't worried, but she went through and got his room spotless and pulled out the wonderful blanket that Cora gave him years ago and laid it on his bed, even though its summer here .. she spends a lot of time just stroking it and saying his name.. he loves this blanket and didn't take it, very strange.

This is the blanket here, she doesn't know I have it, I don't think she'd be upset, but well, I like to stroke it when he's not around too. It has his scent on it, and its soft and gentle, just like him.

I don't mean to scare or worry you, and I probably should take this to Miss Cora direct, but I hear that she hasn't been well, and I don't want to worry her the way I KNOW Mama is.

I was wondering, if anyone at the Manor should hear from our Dru, could you let us know?? Its MOST unlike him to wander off, he's usually very quiet and doesn't pay much attention to what's going on in the outside world. We don't have a clue where he went.. but he had been muttering for weeks about monasteries and unfinished business..

I really am sorry to trouble you with this, but we have exhausted most of our avenues of search.

*sigh* (softly, to herself) Hurry up and come home Dru. Mama isn't the only one who misses you.
