Shiki: Being as... *muttering* Gods I hate using this word... *to Cora* old as I am, I have... quite a number of experiences in falling in love. The only successful one, was with Kaine. However, I believe that I picked up a few important lessons along the way.
Shiki: My first love, Nanali, was.... rather short. I suppose she only went along with me because.... other women found me attractive. As I think about it now... it really didn't feel right when I was with her. The two of us weren't happy whenever we were together... so it wasn't a surprise when the relationship ended as a mutual break-up.
Hours later
Shiki: And then there was Falle.... Oko-chi chose her for me after I failed many times. She would be... what one would call a perfect girlfriend. She was cute in many ways... tidy... she turned heads wherever she went.
Shiki: Falle made me happy... but that was all there was. I was content with that relationship... actually, more like a friendship than anything... I don't believe that what I felt for Falle was the kind of love that would make me want to hold onto her forever.
Kaine: Shiki? You're still not done? It's almost time to eat lunch!
Miori: Miori hungry...
Shiki: I'm just about done.
