Rey: (typing) Dear Cora, Hi! Sorry (again) that it took me so long to write back to you. Things here have been busy with all the refugees and stuff coming in from the war. And, I made a new friend! But I'll tell you about him in a minute.
Rey: First, I just wanted to say a big thank you for this hat. It is really so cozy warm and it keeps my ears nice and toasty.
Rey: Which is really great, because it has been COLD here. And it hides my crazy hair. Though, Wendy keeps saying I should take it off sometimes, because otherwise I'm going to bake my brain.
Rey:Anyway, it means a lot to me that you made me such a wonderful present. And I wear it all time. Your timing was PERFECT because I got it the night of the full moon, and it let me go running around outside to see the moon without freezing the tips of my ears off.
Rey: I think you asked about my tribe, and our being tied in with the moon. (I'm pretty sure you did, though I can't find that letter in Dreamland anymore. I know it's there somewhere, but WOW! You get a lot of mail!)
Rey: My family were all of the fox tribe, but we got the snot beaten out of us in the war pretty early on. The wolf tribe, the Unncus, took us in and saved us. It isn't common for wolves to take in foxes, but they were unbelievably kind to us. Well, at least we thought they were. What we didn't know was...
Rey: Oh! Hey, speaking of wolves. This is my new friend!
Rey: I found him outside, in the snow! Poor little guy. Wendy said she hasn't seen any "lost dog" signs around the neighborhood and so I could keep him! So now I have a dog that's all my own!
Rey: Wendy said that I have to take care of him, and feed him and clean up after him and everything, but that's EASY! He's a great dog, and I came up with the PERFECT name for him. 'Cause, I'm going to train him to be a real protector dog, like a vicious guard dog.
Rey: His name is Fury! Fury the Doginator, but his friends just call him Fury. And since you're a friend, you can call him Fury too! His enemies don't call him anything, because they don't have time before he's killed them! HA!
Rey: Uh, so the Doginator seems to walk to go walkies, so I'm going to go take him out for a walk around the house. And I'll be totally cozy and warm because of the hat you made me. Thank you SO MUCH. Oh, and uh... I gave the green package to Mr. Pike, and he just looked at me weird. I told him it was a "good luck charm" and he said "Oh good, he needs as much luck as we can get." I dunno what that means. Anyway... Crazed Doginator Walking! Talk to you soon, Cora!
