Cora: *quietly walks to Locke's door, knocking and finding it open walking inside* Locke... can I come in....
Locke: *irritatedly* You're already in.. so you may as well.
Cora: *sits down* Locke...
Cora: You have a phone right? Is there anyway.... I can borrow it... to make a phonecall...
Locke: A phonecall? Wasn't there something about Eden forbidding you to use a phone? Aren't you disobeying her?
Cora: Yes....
Locke: *tosses his phone on the bed near Cora* .....
Locke: I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this to spite that idiotic sister of mine. So don't get any ideas. You can use my room.. but DON"T TOUCH ANYTHING.
Cora: Locke... thank you....
Locke: Stop your simpering. *leaves the room*
Cora: *thinking outloud* Who should I call... I shouldn't call Bhudo's phone... Taiho probably still has it... who would help me out... Ryll probably isn't home... I guess maybe Kai... Kai may be sympathetic about this.... that and it's the only other number I know besides Bhudo and Ryll.... I guess it's worth a shot....
Cora: *listening to the phone ring* .... Please be there. Even if you won't let me talk to him....
Kai: you need to talk to Rowan.
Bhudo: *sigh* *sarcastically* sure. That's a cakewalk.
Kai: he doesn't know . You have to make peace.

Kai: * both of them looks at the screen* Hastings. What he lost her already?
Bhudo: Probably made her angry again and she left.
Kai: *answers* Kai. What Locke lost her already? She's not here yet.
Cora: *takes a deep breath* No Kai... it's Cora...
Kai: Corina......how goes it? *mouths* I'm not leaving.

Bhudo: I am well and it's fine. Chehei has my phone but not for the reasons you surmise. He calls my brother Rowan. How are you?
Cora: *voice begins to start to sound strained as she sounds as if she's going to start to cry* Not good... I am so frightened....
Bhudo: *tenses* What has happened?
Kai: *alert*
Bhudo: *reaches for the phone* Tell me this instant.
Cora: My friend Keya... she did a card reading for me and told me that I was in danger... that isn't so much the problem as... *hiccups a little trying not to sob* she said someone was coming to harm Cami... and me... I am so frightened, Bhudo I don't know what to do... Keya told me to leave the house, I asked Eden to let me go to the Lair for a while and she expressly forbid it... I don't know what to do... *sobs a little before getting control of herself*
Bhudo: Have you told Vaieh? She can get around Eden.
Cora: No... No I haven't told Vaieh... but Cami... I should send her away. I may not be able to leave but she certainly can... *begins to sob* I should send her away to V in the city to keep her safe... I have never been separated from her... Keya said the entire Manor was surrounded in a dark veil... I have to do it...
Bhudo: considers how many times he's been attacked recently* No Corina. Camilla is safer with you.
Bhudo: grits his teeth* Perhaps Dru, if he is still there, can spirit you both away to someplace safe. I am sorry I am so useless at this time of need. Please tell Vaieh. She may be of help.
Cora: No.. I won't tell Dru. I can't bother him with this... *sighs, wiping away her tears* I'm probably making this into a big deal when it's not... The Manor... is perfectly safe. It always has been... except for... *sighs* me almost murdering Locke and V I guess... I will make the ward Keya suggested out of the fern that I found laying on the floor of my room.... isn't that strange... fern in the middle of winter?
Kai: *wonders* Fern? Alarye?
Bhudo: *thinks* Alarye's ferns. An excellent use for them. *aloud* That is an excellent idea. Make sure to do it promptly.
Cora: I will.. as soon as I find the candles.... *is quiet for a moment, sadly* Bhudo.. there's been something bothering me...
Bhudo: What is it Corina? What is bothering you?
Cora: I'm... *quietly, using a swear word, only the second time she's ever done it* I'm just a damn hypocrite... aren't I?
Bhudo: why would you say such a thing?
Cora: *quietly* Five years I've whined and waited... waiting for V to make up his mind about me... I've waited so long and now I am only continuing the vicious cycle by asking for you to wait for me to find out my heart.... I'm such a hypocrite, Bhudo... I guess I am not allowed to complain about V's indecision anymore... I feel so terrible...
Kai: * looks away uncomfortably*
Bhudo: Surely he shows his love when you mate?
Cora: *confused* What?! He hasn't ever touched me.. I've slept in his bed but he's never touched me... ever. I haven't been with a man in over five years....
Bhudo/Kai: *stares at each other in shock*
Kai: *opens his mouth*
Bhudo: * voice cracks* Never? You have never mated?
Cora: Umm.. no. *still sounding confused* Never. V is a virgin.. and I've been waiting for him to answer his feelings for me since five years ago.... he's never even kissed me.
Bhudo *still in shock. runs a trembling hand throught his hair* Never...kissed. I I don't know what to say salirani. Tis comes as a shock. I believed you were lovers at least. Your love for him is very strong.
Cora: *dejectedly* He doesn't return it.... can you see now why I am a hypocrite for doing this to you? I hate myself for this... but I don't want to say I love you unless I know it's true, Bhudo... I don't want to risk lying in order to please you right away... and I don't want to lie in order to... please myself either...
Bhudo: *small laugh* I am not upset. I understand. I still love you salirani. Pleas take the time you need.
Kai: starts to speak again* He.....
Bhudo: will love you forever salirani.
Cora: *smiles slightly* That's a very sweet thing for you to say Bhudo... This weekend Cami gets to see Xerxes, she's very excited for it... the last I heard he wasn't doing too well either... I am happy that you seem to be feeling better at least, I worry about the both of you...
I'm sure Sin is doing his best to care for him. *shakes his head*
Cora: But no one is there to take care of you... if I could leave I would. Eden is adamant about this though... and I trust her.....
Bhudo: * a pleading look on his face* I would love for you to care for me. I thank you for wanting to.
Bhudo: Kai is here with me always and
Bhudo: *touches his soul bracelet to his twin's* Tai'an will see to it that my misery ends soon.
Bhudo: I promise I am cared for salirani.
Cora: Tai'an.... what can she do? She certainly can't make better chicken soup then me... I make the best so i'm told <3
Bhudo: *forces a chuckle* You are jealous of my sister Corina? She is a very good cook in fact. It is her hobby. But i would love to have some of your soup. Mail t to me express.
Cora: *smiles* Yes I am a little jealous... and unfortunately soup does not mail very well... I shouldn't stay too much longer... Locke was extremely generous to lend me his phone and room... if Eden catches me sneaking around like this she's going to kill me... I should have my phone back in a few days... I hope...
Bhudo: *swallows hard* just call Kai. My chehei makes me sleep so I will heal faster. Kai will keep you apprised of my condition. Give Locke my thanks. I owe him a debt for this.
Cora: I will Bhudo... please take care of yourself... give Kai my thanks as well. I hope we get to talk to each other again soon... I miss you when I don't get to speak with you... please take care.. byebye..
Cora: *hangs up the phone looking at it* .....
Cora: What is it.... what is it nobody is telling me??
Bhudo: Goodbye Corina. *hangs up*
Kai: Damn you..*squeezing his brother's fingers*.....you are wrong to do this.
Bhudo: I know. ......he promised to kill her. If I am gone he will not.
Kai: *whispers* You have learned to lie Bhudo........to yourself.
