I'm the last person you want to see right now Hastings, but Vaieh can't come to you right now.

First, let me honor her by thanking you for your benevolence. I would have contacted you sooner but I was waiting for Xerxes to tell you himself or give me permission to. I didn't want any misunderstandings. I see we were too late. While I find Xerxes to be quite beautiful, I have no desire to make him my lover. I already have a woman I want. To me Xerxes is a young friend that I have chosen and nothing more than that. Compared to me he is, a small child, but delightful nonetheless.

Next. Do not try to turn my sister's loyalties Hastings. The penalty for betrayal is a long and torturous death. The price she paid to stand at the right hand of the future Queen of Gaer, is more than you can imagine. To become an Andronite Warrior requires a great sacrifice and Vaieh has given enough. She disobeyed a Child of Light. To say goodbye to a wish. One that you don't even understand. If you did you would not have answered. She was punished for it.

Understand something, we are not human in any way other than looks. We are dragons and as such we are ruled by an instinct you barely posess. We are territorial and feral as your kind would say. We have great power and most of us can weild them nearly from birth. Because of this our laws are absolute or there will be chaos.

You look above your station when you court my sister, even as a bedmate. She doesn't need your wealth or power. She is a princess in her own right and many times more wealthy than you. We don't work for the money as you do here. It is simply a means of blending in and amusing ourselves.

Never question my sister's strength again. She will not submit to you. She already serves two masters. When you can do the same then you may question hers. She wanted you for yourself, not for artifice she can create herself.

We cannot lie, so I will tell you this. Vaieh was not found out. She confessed right after coming to you. She knew she would be punished and accepted that. She will come to you after she wakes if she wishes it. She has been given limited permission to talk to you.

Be thankful, as I am, that Tai'an is more like her father, Kaisen. Were she more like her grandfather Kaxzian, Vaieh would have been given to our enemies to be raped to death. After she had been stripped of her powers. Tai'an's punishment though harsh, was not brutal. It could have been. It was not easy for me to stand by and watch. I would never dishonor my sister by interfering.

As you can see, Vaieh is unconscious and will be for a few days at least. The beating she took is more than you could handle. This may make you feel good for Tai'an lies unconscious as well. Vaieh gave as good as she got.

Oh yes, one more thing. I am Tai'an's eyes, ears and arms when necessary. I am also the executioner for all Andronites who betray a royal house on Gaer. This includes my own house. They are an elite and powerful guard. Only two are needed to decimate an army of a thousand. None save myself and Prince Si'or can destroy them. Don't force me to kill my sister.

I have spoken more than I am used to. Good day, Hastings. I need to tend to Vaieh's injuries.
