Lachlan: I realize that I am unknown to you, Mr. Von Rot, but I feel compelled to speak to you regarding the situation with Cora, my friend.
Lachlan: It is bad enough that you have strung her along for 5 years, but when she begins to take her anger at you out on innocents....when I find my younger brother hiding in his room, crying because her words to him forced open a memory that we thought long ago healed... This is something I can no longer tolerate.
Lachlan: It is time for you to "put up or shut up" as the saying goes.
Lachlan: It is so obvious that you love Cora, and her daughter, so I fail to understand how you can continue to push a knife into the wound of her love day after day and pretend everything is going along just peachy!
Lachlan: She's not going to wait for you forever, if that is what you think. Even the most loving heart gives up eventually. Life is not a Jane Austen novel after all. If you dont' step up soon there is a line of men, and even some dragons, who will be happy to take your place in her heart - not to mention her bed.
Get on with it man - or get out.
